Born from the vision of Director Nick Mckimm, our formative years were spent as a construction company supporting clients experiencing frustration at persistent communication and cohesion challenges between architect and builder. Recognising a need for a multidisciplinary service that covered every step of a project’s journey, mckimm architecture was born.
Today, our team of more than thirty dedicated and loyal employees make up one of Melbourne’s most esteemed architecture firms – designing memorable properties from Melbourne’s Bayside to Dubai and beyond. Guided by our unwavering principles, and a family leadership connected by generations, we’re as excited for the future as we were when our journey began.

Our clients are heavily involved in the design process (without carrying any of the admin responsibility – we handle that and give you the gift of your time back). With state-of-the-art drawing, modelling and rendering tools, our clients share and inspire ideas from start to finish.
After three decades as an architectural design practice, we’re still looking to push boundaries. We respectfully and safely challenge council expectations to drive approvals for projects that others are unable to imagine.
